Vesna Jovanovic is a Chicago artist who was born in Chicago, lived in Yugoslavia for much of her childhood, and returned to Chicago in 1991 to pursue her education. Vesna’s presentation will highlight her interests in both art and science, as expressed in her work “Pinhole Experiments,” a series of exquisite photographs of mushrooms created from her personally designed and crafted pinhole cameras.

Illinois Mycological Association Mushroom Show & Sale

The Illinois Mycological Association celebrates the richness of fall mushrooms in Illinois with an exhibit of 50 to 100 varieties of mushroom foraged from area forests. Members provide information and answer questions regarding mushrooms and fungi.

Joe McFarland has been an outdoor writer for nearly twenty years and is a staff writer for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources magazine "Outdoor Illinois." He is also a co-author, with Gregory Mueller, of the book "Edible Wild Mushrooms of Illinois and Surrounding States: A Field-to-Kitchen Guide."

Joe will provide expert tips on identifying local varieties of mushrooms and planning fruitful forays in the local terrain.
